Google’s Website Optimizer Makes Testing Landing Pages Simpler than Ever

Posted by Mustafa

For those of you who do not already know what Google Website Optimizer is, “it’s a multivariate web page testing tool that can help you understand which web page designs really work.” In other words, a free landing page optimization tool.It was originally released by Google a while back and they just made some sweet updates to it, as follows:

  • A Split Testing Wizard
Google has added an A/B split testing wizard, which makes it very easy for you to test how well one landing page is working in comparison to another. Google makes it very easy to view the results too.

  • Improved Display for Experiments
They also improved the way experiments are displayed. Your most recent experiments will be displayed first, and you can even delete past experiments.
  • Added a Client Access Manager
Agencies can now access their client’s accounts directly through their My Client Center without having to logout and login to their different client accounts. Their clients must grant them permission for the agency to have access to the client account.

So What Does this all Mean

Out of all the changes, the biggest difference lies within the new A/B Split Test Wizard for testing landing pages. This will make it a lot easier than having to set up split tests manually, and then check their performance in Google Analytics. The wizard does all that for you, and more.
